I recently came across this problem. You watch about three songs on Youtube (and, each for about 3-4 minutes) and around about the third song, the whole system freezes

and you have to use Task Manager to end the program. Grr.

I finally found a way to fix this problem, and to bring happiness to the house that cannot display the multitudes of old Hindi film goodness.

1. Delete EVERYTHING in the following folders (temporary files tend to make browser systems heavy and slow)

In order to do this, go to the Search function on your computer and type in “*.tmp”. Delete all files that contain that extension.

Be sure to make sure these files are completely deleted, so be sure to remove the files from the Recycle Bin as well.

2. Download this program: WinSocks Fix

This program corrects the registry keys of Internet connection. Reboot your system, and I would recommend that before you start up your browser, scan your computer with Norton Anti-Virus or Ad-Aware

(or any anti-virus system) and THEN try a couple of YouTube videos.

Keep in mind, I use Mozilla Firefox generally, and my parents use Internet Explorer (yuck!) Both are updated versions respectively. So, for a while, I had to use Opera. It’s not that bad, and I would recommend it (if only Firefox didn’t already gleam with greatness!)
