Song Recommendations!

I have a few to recommend here. Some of these songs are quite old, but I am such a n00b and I just discover these wonderful songs.

1. Just Hold Me - Maria Mena
This song has great vocals and compelling lyrics. Though her voice, in her other songs, can sound more like “talking” rather than singing, this song is great.

2. Sleeping Lessons - The Shins
This is quite a hypnotic lullaby. After hearing it a couple of times, it tends to just stick in your head. I definitely recommend it, plus, it has some interesting lyrics.

3. Munich - Editors
One of the best songs/music videos ever. Great beat and awesome lyrics. I believe this song is referring to the Munich Massacre, hence the athletes in the video. Again, it has a great tune.

That’s all for today. Just felt like sharing some of my favorites.

Today began a wonderful, exciting new semester!

First Period - Pre-Ap Biology with Ms. Winter
Oh! I am so excited about this class. I know several people plus I am a lover of biology and all things science-related.

Second Period - Technology Systems with Ms. Williams
I love my teacher already! And even though this class was the replacement of my very much anticipated “Spanish 3″, it still seems like a ton a fun. Plus, there are tons of upperclassmen. Haha!

Third Period - LEAP English and Geography
Same as first semester, but with brand new people for the most part.

Fourth Period - (First 9 weeks, Speech w/ Ms. Lawson, Second 9 weeks, Aerobics w/ Ms. Sandman)
Ah, speech! Our class isn’t so bad and I can tell it will be great, entertaining class!

At first, I was slightly depressed because my classes, at first, seemed a little bland. And I really didn’t know a lot of people, and I wasn’t ready to start making new friends all over again. But, at the end of the day, I took a deep breath and realized that my classes are just a continuation of a great year.

Excited for the new semester? What are/were your favorite subjects in high school?
